Mumbai: 'Kalakiran Lifetime Achievement’ for Victor Concessao

Mumbai, Mar 5: Kalakiran, Mumbai has announced its 'Lifetime Achievement’ award to well-known lyricist, composer and singer Sangeet Ratna Victor Concessao during a meeting held on March 3 at Gyan Ashram, Mahakali Caves Road, Mumbai.

Lawrence Coelho, editor, DIVO illustrated Konkani weekly was the chairman of the meeting. Sangeet Samrat Henry D’Souza, Harryboy, V D’Silva, Clement Lobo, Walter D’Souza, Jerimeri, Lawrence D’Souza-Kamani, Francis Olivera and Victor Concessao were on the dias.

 

Three committees were formed during the meeting viz: fund raising, reception and cultural headed by A W D’Souza, Lawrence Coelho and Lawrence D’Souza-Kamani respectively.

Lawrence Coelho lauded the efforts of the Kalakiran and requested the members present to support the cause wholeheartedly. 

The Lifetime Achievement will be conferred onVictor Concessao during a glittering ceremony on August 11 at 6pm at Karnataka Sangha Hall, Matunga, Mumbai.

Flora D’Souza, Jerimeri, Edwin Baanz, Gregory Sequeira, Niddodi, Leo Fernandes, Tressy Peris, Philip D’Souza, Clement D’Souza, Ryan D’Souza, Betty Naaz, Kenneth Zuzarte were present.       
 
Francis Olivera gave a briefing of the achievements of Kalakiran for the last eight years and introduced the guests and compered the programme.  Lawrence D’Souza-Kamani welcomed, explained the purpose of the meeting and proposed vote of thanks.
