Mumbai: Sahasra Chandika Mahayaga initiated at Kondevoor

Mumbai, Mar 2: Sahasra Chandika Yaga with a view of global peace and prosperity was rendered an illuministic start by Yogananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Kodevoor Sri Nithyananda Yogashrama with the divine presence of Brahmashri Kateel Kamaldevi Asranna. The yaga is being organized from February 27 to March 6 in the Kodevoor Sri Nithyananda Yogashram.

Devi Bhagavath Chanting, religious lectures and religious meet were also held on the occasion. Udupi Gundibail Sri Subrahmanya Avadhani  led the lecture under the topic 'Yaga Tyaga'.

A formal stage programme was held, presided over by Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi, blessed by Subrahmani Samputa Narasimha Temple seer Vidhyaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, Majila Temple Seer Mohandasa Paramahamsa Swamiji and Kodevoor  Karinje Mukthananda Swamiji.

Subbayya Rai, Narayan Hegde Kodibail, S G Bandary Mulinjagutthu and others were the chief guest. Brahmashree Kamaladevi Prasad Asranna, Gopalayam, Narayana Panjikallu were also present.

Dr Jayaprakash Narayan Thottethodi welcomed the audience. Gangadhar Kondevoor compered the programme. Dinkar Hosangadi proposed the vote of thanks. As a part of the cultural event, Natya Vaibhavam dance event by Savijeevanam team was held.

Karnataka State religious endowment minister Kota Srinivas Poojary and Yedaneeru temple Seer Keshavananda Bharathi Sri Pandangal will be participating. Dharmapal U Devadiga, Shankar B Shetty, B K Madhukar, Sudheer V Shetty, Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Vishwanath U Mada, Nithyananda D Kotian and others will be the chief guests.

"Jaya C Suvarna, president of Billawa Association Mumbai will be felicitated on the occasion", said Rohidas R Bangera, K P Aravind, Harish K Chevar and Urwa Narayan.
