Playback singer Malavika gets married


Hyderabad, Feb 16 (IANS): Telugu playback singer Malavika, who started her singing career with romantic-drama "Gangotri", entered wedlock here Saturday.

She married Krishna Chaitanya, currently working as senior manager with a British gas company. The reception happened at Nacharam here Friday, followed by the wedding in the early hours of Saturday.

"The wedding happened in the early hours of Saturday amidst family and friends. It was a close-knit family wedding," a member of Malavika's family told IANS.

In a career spanning close to a decade, Malavika, 25, has mostly sung songs in Telugu and few in Malayalam and Kannada. She is also the winner of the state Nandi award.

Some of her songs include "Nuvvu nenu kalisunte", "Bommali" and "Holessa".
