Now, 'Kai Po Che!' gears up for Mumbai gala premiere


Mumbai, Feb 14 (IANS): After receiving positive response at the Berlin International Film Festival, "Kai Po Che!" will now have a gala premiere here and it will be attended by who-is-who from Bollywood.

A big screen interpretation of Chetan Bhagat's talked about novel "The 3 Mistakes of My Life", the film is about the lives of three friends in Ahmedabad and it has been directed by "Rock On!!" fame Abhishek Kapoor.

The film, starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Rajkumar Yadav and Amrita Puri, is set for a Feb 22 release.

" 'Kai Po Che' has been showcased at a gala premiere at the Berlin Film Festival to an overwhelming response. Our team is immensely delighted to host the Indian premiere in Mumbai on Feb 18," said Kapoor.

"Really appreciate all the love and positive spirit of my peers and well-wishers in Bombay, their support means the world to me. We've put our heart into the film and I look forward to a memorable night and movie-viewing experience for all," he added.

The guest list boasts names like Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar, Emraan Hashmi, Farah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, and Parineeti Chopra.

The film's music, composed by Amit Trivedi, is already doing well.
