Gippy Grewal to dub for Punjabi 'Die Hard 5'


New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS): The fifth installment of the popular "Die Hard" franchise, Bruce Willis' "A Good Day To Die Hard", will not just release in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, but Punjabi as well. Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal will dub for it.

Fox Star Studios roped in the multi-talented Gippy, who is known for his singing and acting alike.

Happy to be a part of the project, Gippy said: "I am a huge fan of the 'Die Hard' films and loved the idea of the film being dubbed in Punjabi. I really enjoyed dubbing for the film; I am sure my fans will absolutely love my part."

Gippy rose to fame thanks to his single "Phulkari" and made his acting debut in 2010 film "Mel Karade Rabbe". He also featured in the movie "Jinhe Mera Dil Luteya", and is known for the song "Angrezi beat".

He will voice Jai Courtney, who plays Willis's estranged son and partner in fighting the bad guys in the latest "Die Hard" instalment.

"A Good Day To Die Hard" will release Feb 22.
