Australian Open: Paes and Stepanek Knocked Out


Melbourne, Jan 17 (IANS): India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek were stunned in straight sets 3-6, 5-7 by South African Kevin Anderson and Israeli Jonathan Erlich in the first round of the Australian Open tennis here today.

The Indo-Czech pair just could not get going in the first set and thought they fought back in the second set only to be edged out in the end.
