Beijing Olympic Cycling Champion Cooke Retires


London, Jan 15 (IANS): Britain's cycling Olympic champion Nicole Cooke has announced her retirement from the sport.

Cooke, 29, announced her decision Monday, saying that she was very happy with her career, reports Xinhua.

"I have won every race and more that I dreamed I could win." she said.

Cooke clinched both the Olympic road race and world road race titles in 2008.

She finished 31st in London Olympics last year.
