Take Revenge from Pakistan, says Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS): Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray Thursday demanded that India should "take revenge" from Pakistan for the brutal killing of its two soldiers near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir two days ago.

In a statement here, Thackeray said that mere condemnation of the incident will no longer be of any use.

"Send the Indian military inside Pakistan and take revenge for this horrific incident. Only then will it be a tribute to the martyrdom of our soldiers," Thackeray demanded in the front page statement in Thursday morning's edition of Saamana, the party mouthpiece of which he is the editor.

Thackeray also said that there is no point in continuing any peace talks with Pakistan as it is bearing no results.

"Pakistan is beheading our soldiers and here we are playing cricket (with them), forgetting all brutalities," Thackeray said.

Not only cricket ties, it is imperative to break all kinds of relations with Pakistan, he exhorted.

In a sarcastic tone, he said it was not expected of the "weak" government at the centre to display "courage" (of attacking Pakistan).

In a brazen violation of the 2003 ceasefire, Pakistani troops shot dead and beheaded two Indian soldiers along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir Jan 8, sparking a diplomatic row between the two nations.

Please read all my comments carefully. Summary of my comments is to book and punish those Pakistani soldiers who did the heinous crime of beheading Indian soldiers. I have no mercy for the wrong doers. Taking revenge will end up in loss of thousands of INNOCENT lives in BOTH SIDE. Innocent people should not be targeted whoever it may be, whichever religion they belong to.
But you started abusing religion, scriptures and all Muslims. I never said all Muslims are saints and same applies for Hindus and Christians too. Black sheep is there in all religions. But for the mistake of few, you cannot held responsible the religion and community, which you did.
I have couple of Hindu friends here in Saudi Arabia, and we live like brothers. We respect each other’s religion and we will continue to do so till our death.
You need to come out of the shell of narrow mindedness and broaden your views on other religions. Stop spitting venom on other religions and their scriptures as I said in my previous comment, all scriptures are from the same GOD, but may be in different language, sent on different people at different times. Try to highlight the similarities between the religions, not the differences.

The topic was the beheading of the Indian soldier by the Pakistani army, and the need for justice. Period. But you have gone round and round the bush and brought in the bomb blasts in Makah Masjid, Ajmer Dargha, Samjotha express Malegaon blast, and 2000 Muslims in Gujarat, so what is the connection with this to the beheading of an Indian soldier? Or as you suggesting that the soldier was killed, and all the attacks in India were in retaliation for all of the above happenings?

The Pakistani soldier committed murder and the Indian people are asking for justice. So Pakistan should have court marshaled the solder and returned the severed head of the poor Indian soldier. But instead, the attacks continue and no action is ever taken and the vehement denials as always and counter accusations continue that it is, as always India’s fault.

So here’s your logic when Pakistan continues to have death and destruction all over India, there is nothing wrong with that? But when the infidel Indians ask for justice from Islamic Pakistan there will be “death and destruction”. So don’t ever ask for justice or else it will be construed as “hatred”. The real answer is an open secret that the people of the world have experienced for 1400 years, and have left 280 million dead but they can’t say a word in protest because they will be labeled as a “- - - - - phobe”. I’m so sorry I took so long to get it!!!!

“Terror attacks continue on our soil from well-organized and funded groups and the tacit support from the Pakistani army and still we have never responded? “
You are right but let me name some of the attacks please clarify who has done those attacks? Are they muslims? Who killed Rajeev Gandhi? Bombs blasted in Makah Masjid, Ajmer Dargha, Samjotha express Malegaon blast, who killed 2000 Muslims in Gujarat, who attacked Pub in Mangalore, Who attacked the girls in MM house in Mangalore, Who demolished Babri Masjid, the list is endless. Tamil Tigers have long constituted one of the most vicious and formidable terrorist groups in the world. They were the first to train children as terrorists. They happen to be Hindus. ULFA in 16 years 1990 – 2006 conducted successfully 749 terrorist attacks. Out of 600 districts in India, they are present in 150 districts. Maoists terrorist attacks in 1/3rd part of India!
You said “I have studied comparative religions and I know your scriptures very well, and what you’ll are up to, all over the world.”
Half knowledge is very dangerous my friend! We know that all the religions don’t preach that you should kill innocent human beings. But when we analyze, we find bad creatures (terrorists) in all religions.

Terrorism is not monopoly of Muslims neither it’s the monopoly of any other religion because all religions preach peace and all religious scriptures are from the ONE AND ONLY GOD.

Please remove the glasses of hatred you are wearing and see the world, you will get the answer!

    Mr. M.H. Rashid

I have raised several questions but as expected you have chosen not to answer even a single one, but on the contrary you are asking if I am against death and destruction, and the answer is an emphatic YES. I have studied comparative religions and I know your scriptures very well, and what you’ll are up to, all over the world.

Uddhav Thackeray used the wrong verbiage, he should have asked for Justice rather than revenge. Here we have a case of murder by beheading and Pakistan is not even returning the severed head, and we can’t get justice? Terror attacks continue on our soil from well-organized and funded groups and the tacit support from the Pakistani army and still we have never responded? Kashmir is Indian Land, which was taken by force and now they are demanding the rest of Kashmir, and we did not respond? Attacks on our Indian Parliament, in Hotels and local trains in Bombay, and India has been asking for the extradition of Hafiz Saeed, Dawood Ibrahim and the many men behind those attacks and till date there is only denial and no response.

The Indian people have exercised restraint for centuries of attacks and as per Bill Durant’s book – The Take over of India this had led to 80 million people dead in the past 1000 years and you don’t see death and destruction. For how many centuries and millions more should die, for you to see “death and destruction” in India.

In your justice system it is you take a tooth for a tooth and eye for an eye, and if do it is right, but if others respond then it causes “death and destruction”? Would you continue tolerating the death and destruction of your friends and family? And do no reserve the right to respond or even ask for justice? This is bizarre and ridiculous argument. If you really serious about death and destruction then you should go to Pakistan and lecture to them, we do not need your advice how we should govern yourself.

    CK Dayananda,
“millions of Hindus who are silent sufferers for the past 1000 years.”I do not understand the logic of your comment. You said “Hindus are silent sufferers for past 1000 years”
Hindus are in majority in India, you have the majority in parliament (4.8 % Muslims), majority Assembly, Majority in Police force, Majority in government jobs etc… We being Muslims don’t have our representation even to the extent of our population ratio and you say Hindus are the sufferers!
Please remove the venom inside you, and see the world, you will really feel happy. The life is too short for hatred.

You have echoed the voice of millions of Hindus who are silent sufferers for the past 1000 years.

These traitors list Dharma alongside Adharma and make absurd comparisons, to defend their anti-national activities.

We should never trust these people as their hatred towards others stems from their institution.

BJP should Shri Narendra Modihi as Prime Ministerial candidate and we should vote BJP to power with landslide majority in the coming election.

This should be our immediate agenda to cut the tails of these traitors.

    Dear Jay, USA,
I did not justify the killings of two Indian soldiers nor killing of innocent people in twin tower. I do not support killing of innocent people whichever religion or region they belong to. But taking revenge (as suggested by Uddav Thackray) will end up in destruction and loss of lives (both side) as both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers. War is not the solution, but bringing those soldiers who are responsible for such heinous crime is mandatory.
Are u supporting war and destruction?

Quote "What is the fault of those woman and children who lost their lives/ lost one or both parents/ became widow? Did those innocent women and children planned attack on twin tower in America? Unquote"

The topic is the beheading of the Indian soldiers, but you have somehow connected and brought in the US. Even if this is your reasoning, then what was the fault of those 3000 innocent office workers men, woman and children who died in the attack on the WTC?

For centuries attacks have been coming mainly the North of the country, resulting in the deaths of over 80 million Indians please explain why? Hindu Pundits have been killed or driven out of the homes in Kashmir and cannot return just because of their religion, please explain why?

Instead of condemning the beheading of your own countrymen it seems you are taking the side of the killers. I have met scores of Pakistanis here and you sound like one of them, they dislike and disown their forefathers and ancestors but they great love for invaders, tyrants and bigots of history.

If you have any love for your countryman or just brothers and sisters in humanity you will never ever justify the deaths and destruction that is going on in India and over the World. I am proud to say that India is only major country in the world that have never, ever attacked anyone or gone to war. I’m not saying Indians are saints, we do have black sheep among us who have done bad things on an individual level, but as a country with a majority Hindu population the freedom’s given to Muslims, has never been given to us in any country where Muslims are in a majority.

Sitting in Maharashtra amidst tight security and asking the government to take revenge is very easy. Do you know America being the most powerful country of the world lost 2158 lives so far in Afghanistan and spent around 641 billion US dollars. Besides this coalition forces from other countries lost 1190 lives and there is no count how many millions Afghanis including women & children killed so far. What is the fault of those woman and children who lost their lives/ lost one or both parents/ became widow? Did those innocent women and children planned attack on twin tower in America?
Here the case is different. Both are nuclear capable countries and you know the consequences. For the fault of one or two Pakistani soldiers, we cannot put the lives all Indian citizens in risk. India to mount pressure on Pakistani government to punish the culprits and continue peace talk with Pakistan.

When Pakistan allows Hafiz Said to bark against India, shelters dawood Ibrahim and other terrorists and say so many lies, what morality we respect? Respecting Malik so says so many lies, at Kasab was a Kasaiman hanged. Now what sense we have to have relationships with such dirty liers who are snakes, give milk to them? I think their final days are coming nearer and near.

Indian army needs more orders from delhi to shoot to kill and create more casuality at the other side of LOC. We need a fierce commander like general Cadozo at the border.
At the same time it is better to keep building relationship. Hate begets hate. pakistan has more terrorists problems, which they created, than India
