Mumbai, Jan 4: The 12th International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts, 2013, conceptualized by Dr A F Pinto, chairman, Grace Pinto, MD and Ryan A Pinto, CEO of Ryan Group of Schools opened with a grand ceremony at Shri Shanmukhananda Hall here.

The opening ceremony of the festival was followed by a parade by representatives from several countries, held here on Friday January 4. It seemed as if the culture and colour of the entire world had found its meeting point.

The opening parade began at Ryan Global School, Lokhandwala, Andheri (west) at 10.30 am with much fanfare, with national and international teams from across various nations participating in the march.

Teams from Bangladesh, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iran, Italy, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Zambia walked hand in hand propagating international peace and unity.

Colourfully dressed children raised the flags of their respective countries. It was a beautiful and fun-filled extravaganza as circus jugglers, acrobats and other entertainers joined in this cosmopolitan march.
