Vivek Agnihotri to Work on Social Comedy

Mumbai, Jan 4 (IANS): After experimenting with adult film "Hate Story" and working on socio-political drama "Freedom", filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri will take on a social comedy project.

"Currently I am busy shooting for my film 'Freedom', but soon after this I am going to try my hands with a comedy film. My next film will be a social comedy," Agnihotri told IANS.

"This film is titled 'Awwal' and it will be a political satire," he added.

Asked if he has decided the star cast for 'Awwal', he said: "There will be many established stars in this film. It is going to be a huge project. It is a very expensive film, so I have to make the best out of it. I will soon make an announcement on the same."

Agnihotri started his career with the thriller "Chocolate", after which he dealt with a sports-based movie "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal".

As a filmmaker, he wants to explore various genres.

"I enjoy working on different genres. I don't want to repeat myself as a director. I want to explore myself with different films, and so I have decided to make a comedy film this time round," he said.
