'Yaya Ind-Ya Mayaya' All-India Konkani Dance Contest Launched in Mumbai

Mumbai, Dec 26: The Mumbai launch of 'Yaya Ind-Ya Mayaya' - the first all-India Konkani dance contest was successfully held at Xavier’s Institute of Engineering, Mahim, here on Sunday December 23.

Albert D’Souza, a prominent businessman and an eminent educationist was the chief guest. He called on the Konkani youth of Mumbai to enthusiastically participate in this great event and avail of the opportunity to earn name, fame and money.
 
Ronald Mendonca, chairman of the Kalaangann governing body, congratulated Mandd Sobhann and the other three organisations for this great initiative to promote young talents.
 
Eric Ozario, secretary general of JKS, conducted the ceremonies. Lawrence D’souza Kamani, joint secretary of JKS and Lawrence D’souza, the joint secretary of Mandd Sobhann, were also present on the occasion.
 
Eric Ozario entertained the gathering with a few songs.
 
All eyes are now focused on the auditions in Mumbai to be held on January 20, 2013, at St Francis MBA College, Borivili.
