Uddhav Thackeray to Undergo Second Angioplasty

Mumbai, Nov 4 (IANS): Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray will Sunday undergo the second phase of his angioplasty procedure here, a party official said Sunday.

He has already been admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

Uddhav, 51, underwent the first angioplasty in the same hospital July 20 and all three blockages in his artery were successfully removed after a surgery of nearly three hours.

The party official said that the second procedure was suggested for Uddhav during follow-up checkup after the first angioplasty in July.

The implications of Uddhav's health condition are a matter of concern for his family and the Shiv Sena as well as its allies - Bharatiya Janata Party and Republican Party of India.
