Mumbai: CKAB Honours Talented Students

Mumbai, Nov 3: Talented students were felicitation at the Canara Konkani Association Borivli (CKAB) annual general meeting held on October 24 at St Francis Technical MBA hall.

Caren Pais who played at the National Level football team and Joslin Pinto who won fifth rank at the university level were honored by the chairman Albert W D'Souza.

Speaking at the occasion, Albert mentioned that the youngsters who excel in their studies and sports need to be recognised.

He informed that his association is one of the shining stars among the Konkani associations of Mumbai that executed various projects successfully. Very soon there will be a degree college, post graduate college and college of architecture in St Francis Technical Campus, Borivli.

He also promised that Christians will be given 51% reservation in all these colleges. He also informed about the plans to buy an office for the association.

The meeting began with the prayer services lead by Irene D'Lema.  Albert W D'Souza honored retiring members Lilly Nazareth and Anita Mascarenhas.

Wilfred Mendonca read the minutes of the previous general meeting. Treasurer Robert Tauro relayed the accounts. Stella Cutinho introduced the talented students Joslin Pinto and Caren Pais.

Freddy Gonsalves delivered the vote of thanks. Veronica Noronha compered the programme.

Chairman Albert W D'Souza, vice chairman George D'Souza, treasurer Robert Tauro, education committee manager Godfrey Quadros were present at the dais.
