Winehouse's Wedding, Cocktail Dress Stolen

London, Nov 1 (IANS): Late singer Amy Winehouse's wedding dress and cocktail frocks have been stolen from the London house where she died.

The singer wore the dresses when she wed Blake Fielder-Civil in Miami in 2006. The dresses are together said to be worth 130,000 pounds and were kept in her house in Camden, North London, which was turned into a shrine by her fans, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Winehouse's father Mitch is very upset. He called the incident "a blow".

"It's sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value," he added.

The frocks were due to be auctioned to raise cash for the Amy Winehouse Foundation. The singer's anchor pattern cotton wedding dress alone was valued at 100,000 pounds.

Winehouse, who battled substance abuse, died of excessive alcohol content July 23, 2011. She was found lying on the bed by one of her bodyguards and was later declared dead.
