Mumbai: Charkop Kannadigara Balaga Celebrates Sharadha Puja

Mumbai, Oct 22: Kandivali institution of Charkop Kannadigara Ballaga celebrated 13 years with a Sharadha puja and annual day on Sunday in West Charkop at Hariyana Bhavana.

On behalf of this programme, renowned lecture of Sullia Bellare Dr Narendra Rai Derla delivered a lecture on ‘Dr Shivaram Karanth’s life and writings’.

On this occasion Sadhananda Suvarna, sub organizer of the Sharadha puja and annual day, chief of Sanskrithika Prathishtana Mangalore and renowned stage artiste Sadhanandha  Suvarna were present on this occasion.

  
Dr Narendra Rai Derla said the life and writings of Karanth is worth to us, Dr Karanth knew that the darkness seeks doubt,questions and  inquiry, so he showed the light through his novels to the society.

Karanth said ‘I am responsible for my experience’, so in this way Karanth  proved he is a great thinker of the society.

Dr Shridhar Shetty principal of Poovaiyya, S M Shetty presided, pontiff Ramesh Guru of Appajji bidu blessed the gathering of convention and felicitation held in the afternoon.

"Solace can take man to egress; man can attain moksha through his work. A man should render service his parents promptly", said Ramesh Guru swamijji.

Dr Shridhar Shetty opined linguistic concern keeps a language alive, the attendees have proved that this institution has the reputation to promote the Kannada language.

He said that organization is a basic factor for the social service, this is the right platform for creative thinking,opportunities, response and even concern to the self-image which leads to its development.

Surendra A  Poojary, working president of  Saikar Logistic Limited was the chief guest, Jaya Sheel K Suvarna, working president of   Raj Associations Mumbai were present on the occasion.

Dr Bhaskar Shetty an orthopedic surgeon, was awarded by Addyaru Thimmappa Shetty Award, directory Ramesh Shivapuri was awarded with the KK Suvarna Award, Thara S Rao female director, was awarded with the Shrimathi Bharathi Kodlekar award on this occasion.

Surendra Poojary said that the institution is the role model for social work; unselfish behavior can bring the organization better success.

During the programme, people condoled for the death of Sharadha Naryana Rao, mother of M S Rao, honorary chief Secretary of the institution by silent prayer. In afternoon cultural programme were organized,  honorary chief treasurer Gowri Paniyadi, Vice president manjunath Bannur, joint treasurer C Sadhishiva Poojary, advisor Dr N G Bhat, treasurer Latha Bangera were present at function.
 
Founder and working president of the Puja committee Jaya C Shetty welcomed, president B Sarapadi delivered the key note address.

Women wing working president Shantha Bhatt, Rajani Shetty and Bellman Chandra Shekar introduced the awardees, secretary Ragunatha N shetty introduced the guests of the programme and compered.

Convener of cultural and literary division Gopal Thrasi ,compered the cultural programme, Vijaya D delivered the vote of thanks.

    Good work done by Charkop Kannadigara Balaga by Celebrating Sharada Puja. It is pertinent to here that Bhaskar Sarapadi and his Team really deserve heartiest congratulation for organizing such an event for continusly for the 13 years.
