Los Angeles, Oct 9 (IANS): Warned about the consequences, singer Madonna reportedly backed out from wearing a costume that included a Muslim bridal veil combined with a US soldier's uniform.

The 54-year-old was suppose to wear the outfit known as 'terror bride' for her next music video. The singer had done dress rehearsal in the dress as well, but keeping the US-Iran rivalry in mind, she was hinted about the repercussions it could have, she decided to back out.

"Madonna had the outfit ready to go. She was really proud of it and said it was her 'Terror Bride' costume," thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"At first when people started telling her it was madness she just brushed it off. But when they mentioned that her actions could put her life at risk she decided to ditch it from her video and certainly won't be wearing it on stage," the source added.

The singer will now wear a superstar outfit for the next video.
