David Williams Tried Twice to End his Life

Los Angeles, Oct 5 (IANS): Comedian David Williams has revealed in his autobiography "Camp David" that he tried to commit suicide twice.

The 41-year-old tried to hang himself at age of nine after getting bullied, and again by giving himself an overdose of painkillers at the age of 18 when a female friend rejected his proposal, reports thesun.co.uk.

"Just tried to hang myself. But I knew I didn't really want to die, I just didn't want to live. I took my weight with my feet and sat down," he wrote.

The comedian even had thought of jumping in front of a train.

"Earlier, I had come close to stepping in front of a train. I am in total despair," he said.
