Mumbai: Nativity Feast Celebrated at St Pius X Church, Mulund

Mumbai, Sep 13: St Pius X Church of Mulund (West) parishioners celebrated the nativity feast here on Sunday September 9.
 
Prior to the festal mass, a procession was held in which a large number of devotees took part.
 
Fr Deepak D’Souza Nerul offered festal mass and blessed the new grains. Fr Hubert Goveas, parish priest of St Pius X Church conducted prayers.

As a part of the festal celebration, various entertainment programmes were showcased by the children and the parishioners.
 
Janet L D’Souza, Lawrence D’Souza, Alwyn Rasquina, Peter Furtado, Raymond Lobo, Ivan Suvaris, Alphonse Corda among many others were present.

    Monthifest reminds us of the celebration of the great harvest festival which takes place in Mangalore and it brings back sweet memories of the good old days of our parents and grandparents.It is a great and auspcious day to celebrate the birthday of Mother Mary who is always with us,as she was with Jesus,guideing, protecting and interceding for us through her dear son Jesus.

    it was a great pleasure once again to be so much a part of the St Pius monthifest event.. which entered its 6th glorious year of celebration... all thanks to the captain of the ship..Fr Hubert who manages to set sail so smoothly with his loyal band of followers using all his managerial skills effectively and flawlessly...yes ofcourse the merit does go to all the stalwarts too who have stood like a rock besides him in the meticulous planning of this great occasion year after year.. yet again the cuisine ..exotic and sumptuous was a real fare to our palate and adding spice n color was the variety entertainment that stole the show..the angelic look of the girls was a fascinating sight...kudos to Fr Hubert for all his efforts and long live the konkani premi group
