Mumbai, Aug 15 (DHNS): A small-time city model has complained to police that ICC umpire and former Pakistan first-class cricket player Asad Rauf cheated her by having consensual sex promising marriage.

A report in a local tabloid hinted that the model, Leena Kapoor, and Rauf had a physical relationship following their meeting in Sri Lanka.

The model, who stays in Oshiwara, a north-western suburb favourite haunt of film strugglers, in her complaint to deputy commissioner of police (Zone IX) Pratap Dighavkar has reportedly alleged that Rauf sexually exploited her for several months promising marriage.

Rauf, a member of ICC Elite Umpire Panel, would come over to India for officiating matches, “meet her and evade fixing the date of marriage.” The complaint reportedly further states that five days ago, “Rauf called up to say he was not interested in carrying the relationship further.”

The police will consult the legal cell before they formally register a criminal case against Rauf.
However, Asad Rauf has denied these allegations and said Leena Kapoor was seeking to gain publicity by joining her name to his,” said leading Pakistani English daily “The News”.
