Two Tiger Cubs Born in Patna Zoo


Patna, Aug 2 (IANS): After 19 long years, a tigress gave birth to two cubs at the Patna zoo, an event that sparked celebrations by zoo officials as well as visitors.

Tigress Swarna gave birth to the cubs Wednesday. The last births took place in 1993. Zoo director Abhay Kumar said the cubs were healthy.

Last year the zoo brought two tigers and a tigress from the Hyderabad zoo.
