Mumbai: ‘Arangetram’ of Bharatanatyam Prodigy Ruchika Kallianpur Held

Mumbai, Jun 19: The ‘Arangetram’ of Bharatanatyam child prodigy Ruchika Kallianpur was held at Vishnudas Natyagruha, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday June 17.

Rakesh Joshi, principal, Apeejay School, Nerul, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Ruchika staged her maiden show along with her four colleagues directed by Sushma Gopinath, Ruchika’s dance teacher and founder of Navarasa Academy of Indian Classical Dance School, Nerul. 

Shivaprasad, Shankaranarayanan, B Anand, Nanda Kumar, and Gopal Moorsingh assisted in the playback music.

Ruchika’s parents Sadanand Kallianpur and Poornima, Annapayya Kallianpur and Jalaja Annapayya, Jagannath Kutpady, Sasikala Jagannath, Ganiga Samaj Seva Sangh Mumbai president Jagannath M Ganiga, vice-president Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga, and honorary chief secretary B Balachandra Rao were present on the occasion.

Meera Nambiar compered the programme.  C D Narasimhan proposed the vote of thanks.
