Mumbai: Annual Festivities of Jagadamba Kalabairava Temple on Apr 14

Mumbai, Apr 11: The annual festivities of Jagadamba Kalabairava Temple, Jogeshwari (East), will be held on Saturday April 14.

Vedamurti Shankaranarayan Tantri and temple chief priest Radhakrishna Bhat will lead the annual Vedic celebrations beginning at 8.30 am on Saturday.

Free food offerings for all devotees were also arranged at the temple on Saturday afternoon.

The silver idol of the temple deity will be offered to the temple on the same occasion.

The temple managing trustee G T Acharya will preside over the religious programme at 4.00 pm on Saturday.  

Entrepreneur Vinay Kulkarni will inaugurate the programme. Shiv Sena MLA Ravindra D Waikar will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Social activist Dr P V Shetty, hotelier Damodar C Kundar, local corporator Manjari Parab, MNS corporator Balachandra Ambore, entrepreneur N K Billav, Dr Ramesh Chowhan, entrepreneur Ravi T Nayak, and Congress leader Rajesh Hegde will be the guests of honour.

Temple managing committee president Padubidri Suresh Kotian, secretary Sanjeev Poojary, treasurer D T Kundar, trustees M C Suvarna, H Babu Poojary, Sundar C Poojary, Shankar D Poojary and Govind Shetty, and executive committee member Sadanand G Amin urged the devotees to attend the religious celebrations in large numbers.
