Mumbai, Apr 11: Five books authored by metro’s renowned Kannada litterateur and social activist Dr Karunakar Shetty Paniyoor and one poetry book authored by G P Kusuma were released during a function held at Samarasa Bhavan of Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), on Sunday April 8.
Veteran litterateur and poet Dr Sunita M A Shetty released the books published by various publishers from Mysore, Bangalore, and Mumbai, on Sunday evening.
Karnataka Sangh president Dr G D Joshi presided over the programme.
Poets Sa Daya (Dayanand Salian), Gopal Trasi, Gangadhar Paniyoor, Dr Girija Shastry, and G P Kusuma were present on the occasion.
Shruti Karunakar Shetty rendered the prayers. Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu welcomed the gathering. ‘Akshaya’ Kannada monthly sub-editor Harish K Hejmady compered the programme. Omdas Kannangar proposed the vote of thanks.
