Mumbai: Maundy Thursday Celebrated at St Joseph Church, Mira Road

Mumbai, Apr 6: Maundy Thursday was celebrated at St Joseph Parish, Mira Road with great preparation and meaning. Two masses were celebrated in the open grounds at 6 pm and 8.30 pm.

Flocks of people participated in the Eucharistic celebration. Fr Arwin Tauro broke the Word of God for the faithful.

He highlighted on the priesthood of Christ, the supreme high priest who once and for all offered a sacrifice of himself for the redemption. He spoke about the difference of Old Testament priesthood and the New Testament priesthood. He also gave a call to relive the Eucharistic mystery, to pray for priests and for vocations in the church.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by adoration till midnight in which people took an active part.
