New Delhi, Oct 9: New Zealand have suffered an injury setback ahead of their upcoming T20I series against India, with Mark Chapman and Zak Foulkes ruled out of the five-match contest. Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been named as replacements.
The multi-format series between India and New Zealand will feature five T20Is, five ODIs and two Test matches. The T20I leg is scheduled to begin on October 22, following India's ongoing T20I series against the West Indies.

Chapman sustained a tear in his left hamstring during the European T20 Premier League in September 2026. He is expected to be unavailable for the T20I series but could return at the beginning of the ODI leg.
Foulkes, meanwhile, has been ruled out after suffering an injury to his right hip flexor during training.
New Zealand head coach Rob Walter expressed disappointment over the injuries but said the team was fortunate to have experienced replacements available.
“I’m gutted for Mark and Zak, and I wish them both a smooth recovery. We’re fortunate to be able to lean on the expertise of Josh and Blair. I know they’re both very excited to be involved in what’s shaping up to be an epic T20 series,” Walter was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
New Zealand will be led by Mitchell Santner in the T20I series. The squad also includes Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Josh Clarkson, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Bevon Jacobs, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith and Blair Tickner.
