Udupi, Aug 19: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, has achieved another distinction with its final-year computer science and engineering student Tejas Nayak being honoured with the prestigious Best Student of the Chapter Award 2026 by the ISTE Karnataka Section.

The award recognises Tejas Nayak’s active participation and valuable contributions to the activities of the ISTE student chapter at the institution.

The award was presented during the 22nd Karnataka State Level ISTE Student Convention 2026, held on August 19 at Lingaraj Appa Engineering College, Bidar. The convention was organised on the theme ‘From ideas to impact: Engineering leadership in a digital age.’

Tejas’ recognition is considered a significant achievement for SMVITM and reflects the institution’s efforts to encourage students to participate actively in professional, technical and leadership activities beyond the classroom.

The management, principal, faculty members and students of SMVITM congratulated Tejas Nayak on the achievement and wished him continued success in his academic and professional career.
