Bengaluru, Aug 18: Air India Express on Monday commenced flight operations from the newly inaugurated Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh, with Bengaluru among the first three cities to be connected to the new airport.
The airline has introduced two daily services between Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam, with additional flights operating on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The inaugural flight from Visakhapatnam departed at 8 am and arrived in Bengaluru at 9.45 am. As per the schedule, the Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam service departs at 4.50 pm and reaches Visakhapatnam at 6.30 pm.

The return service departs Visakhapatnam at 8 am and arrives in Bengaluru at 9.45 am, while another service leaves Visakhapatnam at 10.10 pm and reaches Bengaluru at 11.50 pm.
The new connectivity is part of Air India Express' ongoing network expansion. The airline currently operates flights to 48 domestic and 16 international destinations.
