Mumbai, Aug 5: Thirteen-year-old archer Aadhya Devadiga delivered an exceptional performance at the Mumbai Mayor Cup National Field Indoor Archery Championship 2026, winning four gold medals and two gold trophies across multiple categories.

The championship was held from July 30 to August 2 and was organised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), conducted by the Suburban Mumbai Archery Welfare Association, with technical support from the Field Archery Association of India.

In the under-14 girls freestyle compound bow category at the Mumbai Mayor Cup National Field Indoor Archery Championship, Aadhya won a gold medal and a gold trophy in the individual event, besides securing another gold medal in the under-14 girls' team event.

She continued her winning run at the Mumbai Mayor Cup Field Indoor Club Championship 2026 by clinching gold medals in the under-14 girls freestyle compound bow and under-17 girls freestyle compound bow categories. She also helped her team win a gold trophy, which was brought to her school.

With these victories, Aadhya finished the championships with an impressive tally of four gold medals and two gold trophies.

Born in Mangaluru and currently residing in Mumbai, Aadhya is the daughter of Kshama Suman Devadiga and Suman Devadiga Kanvatirtha. She is studying in grade 8 at Bombay Cambridge International School.

This was Aadhya's fourth national-level championship within a year, and she has maintained her golden run by winning gold medals in consecutive national competitions. Her consistent performances continue to bring pride to her family, school and supporters.
