Udupi: Ambulance hits divider on NH-66 near Katapady, occupants safe

Udupi, Aug 5: An ambulance carrying a patient lost control and mounted the road divider on National Highway 66 near Tekal Thota, Yenagudde, Katapady, on Wednesday.

According to sources, the ambulance was transporting a patient from Mangaluru to Udupi. After crossing the Katapady Junction, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle near a road diverter. The ambulance climbed onto the highway divider, crossed into the opposite carriageway, and eventually came to a halt on the roadside.

The patient and other occupants of the ambulance escaped with minor injuries. Another ambulance was immediately arranged to shift the patient and the accompanying persons to Udupi.
