Mumbai, Mar 24: The selection committee of the All India Economy Survey Award Council (AIESAC), New Delhi, chose Dharmapal Devadiga, renowned social worker, former president of Devadiga Sangh, vice-president of NGO Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (JSKPPS), for the ‘Indira Gandhi Seva Ratna and Shining Image of India Gold Medal’.
The Award and certificate of excellence will be presented to Devadiga in a ceremony to be held at Hotel The Connaught, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, New Delhi, on Sunday April 8 at 3.00 pm.
Devadiga bagged this Award for setting up a small factory of fabrication, Shree Satyanarayan Industrial Suppliers (SSIS), that was converted to a private limited company based in Ambernath. Devadiga migrated to the metro at the tender age of 13 and due to his hard work and perseverance he has achieved success in his venture.
