Road safety in Karnataka is becoming a serious concern. The rash driving by many private buses has made it unsafe for everyone on the roads. Recently, I've seen situations where people cannot even walk safely, let alone drive. This is happening not only on city roads but even on highways. I request the Hon'ble Karnataka Transport Minister, Shri Byrathi Suresh, to take immediate action. There should be stricter enforcement against reckless driving by private buses, regular inspections, and severe penalties for repeated violations. Public safety must come before profits.

No. This is not Reliance Mart junction. This is Court road Lions Circle, in front of Naivedya Restaurant. There is no Foot path. Pedestrians cross the road from the side of the hotel to the other side, has to be very careful because vehicles move from either side and take a U turn at the circle. vehicles can not be very slow in taking the turn because the express buses reach that spot from Mangalore side simultaneously. That is quite a busy road and it was raining heavily too. Unfortunate that a precious life is lost.

RIP. Too bad that are literally no pedestrians overpass or underpass at needed busy crossings in pretty much every city India despite huge population.

Condolences to the family members ...her husband can do good as a memorial to his wife by leading his Hindu Yuva Sena in engaging the drivers and conductors by organising workshops in safety and good driving habits and also by identifying areas in the city which need Zebra crossings and road humps.

This is a very tragic loss which could have been avoided. The conditions of our roads in Udupi and driving culture are to be blamed. No one values human life in this country. Will someone hold some protest and give big lectures on the various issues affecting the City.

This is Big bazaar junction from brahmagiri. At this junction, express buses will come on high speed from gopura side towards bus stand.while going to office in the morning, i observed close shave for many bikers who crosses the junction. Today one person lost her life due to the rash driving of these buses. Same rash driving of these express buses observed at kalsanka junction during last of 5 secs of traffic signal. Police should take strict action against them to cancel licence of buses and drivers
