Dubai, Jul 21: West Indies captain Hayley Matthews and several of her teammates have climbed the latest ICC Women's ODI Rankings after completing a dominant 3-0 series victory over Ireland in the ICC Women's Championship.

Matthews starred throughout the series, delivering match-winning performances with both bat and ball to earn the Player of the Series award. The all-rounder finished as the leading run-scorer with 265 runs and also claimed seven wickets, reinforcing her position among the world's top-ranked players across the batting, bowling and all-rounder categories.

Veteran batter Stafanie Taylor also moved up the rankings after scoring a century in the third ODI, rising one place to 22nd in the ODI batting standings.

All-rounder Aaliyah Alleyne gained four places to move to 73rd after contributing a useful 33-run knock in the final match of the series.

Among the bowlers, spinner Afy Fletcher climbed to joint 21st after finishing as the highest wicket-taker of the series with eight wickets.

All-rounder Deandra Dottin also registered a significant improvement, jumping six places to 75th in the ODI bowling rankings following her impactful performances.

The comprehensive series sweep has lifted the West Indies to fourth place in the ICC Women's Championship standings with eight points.

Although Ireland suffered a whitewash, several of its players were rewarded with rankings gains.

Captain Gaby Lewis climbed three places to 18th in the ODI batting rankings after producing consistent performances throughout the series.

All-rounder Orla Prendergast also improved her position, moving up three spots to 31st in the ODI bowling rankings.

Ireland's bowling attack received further recognition, with Jane Maguire rising four places to 47th, while Aimee Maguire advanced five positions to reach joint 71st in the ODI bowling standings.
