Israel demolishes Palestinian home despite court protection

Daijiworld Media Network – Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Jul 19: Israeli forces have demolished a Palestinian home in the occupied West Bank, days after a lawyer confirmed that a court order had protected the property from demolition.

The house, built in 2016 through Israel's official permit process, was home to two Palestinian families, including eight children.

According to reports, the demolition was carried out despite the existing court order that had temporarily barred action against the property.

The incident has renewed concerns over housing rights and demolition policies in the occupied West Bank, where disputes over building permits and land ownership remain a source of tension.

Israeli authorities have not immediately commented on the circumstances surrounding the demolition or the reported court protection. Further details are awaited.
