Bihar, Jul 17: Determination, a clear goal, and unwavering dedication have helped Bihar's Yashaswi Raj Vardhan secure All India Rank (AIR) 11 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. His success serves as an inspiration for thousands of civil services aspirants, proving that the right strategy and consistent hard work can help achieve even the most challenging goals.

A native of Saran district in Bihar, Yashaswi's achievement has brought pride not only to his family but to the entire state. With AIR 11, he has earned a place among the country's top-performing UPSC candidates.

Yashaswi was a bright student from an early age. He completed his schooling in Patna before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Delhi College of Engineering, graduating in 2021. It was during his college years that he developed a strong interest in joining the administrative services.

Just two days after completing his graduation, Yashaswi joined a private company and worked in the corporate sector for nearly three years. However, he later realised that with dedicated preparation, he could succeed in the UPSC examination. He began his focused preparation in 2024 and secured AIR 11 in the 2025 Civil Services Examination.

Yashaswi draws inspiration from his father, Rajnish Kumar, an IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. Having watched his father serve in the administrative services since childhood, he developed a deep desire to serve the nation. This inspiration played a key role in motivating him to choose the UPSC path and ultimately achieve outstanding success.
