Spain beat France to reach FIFA World Cup 2026 final

Dallas, Jul 15: Spain booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final with a convincing 2-0 victory over France in the first semi-final at Dallas Stadium in Texas on Tuesday night.

Mikel Oyarzabal gave Spain the lead in the 22nd minute before Pedro Porro sealed the win with a superb second-half strike, sending La Roja into their first World Cup final since lifting the trophy in 2010.

Sixteen years after winning their maiden FIFA World Cup title, Spain will now face either defending champions Argentina or England in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.

The second semi-final between Argentina and England will be played at Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday night. The match is scheduled to kick off at 12.30 am IST on Thursday, with the winners earning the right to face Spain in the title clash.
