Held on July 12 (local time), the event brought together veterans from across the Greater Seattle area and recognised their dedication, sacrifice and lifelong commitment to India.

According to the Consulate, the programme highlighted not only the veterans' distinguished military careers but also their ongoing roles as mentors, community leaders and custodians of the values of patriotism and national service.
Sharing details of the event on X, the Consulate said it was proud to host a unique gathering of Indian Armed Forces veterans and their families, expressing gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the country.
The Consulate also acknowledged that the spirit of national service extends beyond active military duty, praising the veterans for continuing to inspire younger generations, strengthen community bonds and uphold the ideals they served in uniform.
The initiative received an enthusiastic response from veterans and members of the Indian diaspora, many of whom described it as a meaningful occasion. Several participants said it was the first event of its kind in the Seattle region and appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with fellow servicemen while being recognised by the Indian mission.
