Mangaluru, Jul 10: The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), a constituent unit of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), will organise Deeksharambh 2026, the student induction and orientation programme, from 13 to 20 July 2026 at the YMK Auditorium, Kulur Campus. The seven-day programme is designed to warmly welcome newly admitted students to the BBA, B.Com., B.Sc., BCA, BA, B. Des., BHM, and BND programmes and prepare them for a rewarding academic journey at the University.
This year, YIASCM proudly welcomes its decennial batch of over 1,000 students across its undergraduate programmes, reflecting the institution's growing reputation for academic excellence, industry-oriented education, and holistic development. The orientation programme is designed to enable students transition smoothly to university life by introducing them to the learning environment, institutional values, student support services, campus facilities, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. A key highlight of Deeksharambh 2026 will be the inauguration of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) curriculum in selected programmes, reaffirming YIASCM's commitment to globally relevant, industry-integrated education.
The inaugural ceremony, to be held on 13 July 2026, will be graced by Sudheer Kumar Reddy, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City, as the chief guest; Neha Soni, manager – Industry Solutions (Training), South Asia, IATA, as the guest of honour; and Dr K S. Gangadhara Somayaji, vice chancellor, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, as the president. Prof. Jeevan Raj, principal, Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), will preside over the ceremony in the presence of Prof Shareena P., vice principal and dean, faculty of Commerce and Management, Narayan Sukumar A., vice principal, Heads of Departments, and the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution.
Over the seven days, participants will engage in interactive sessions on academic regulations, outcome-based education, career planning, professional ethics, leadership development, digital learning resources, student clubs, co-curricular activities, mentorship, and wellness. The sessions are designed to foster confidence, critical thinking, collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging within the university community.
Deeksharambh 2026 reflects YIASCM's commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates through a learning environment that integrates academic excellence, industry exposure, innovation, and value-based education.
