Mumbai, Jul 8: Television actor Gaurav Khanna is set to make a special appearance on the reality show 'Lock Upp 2', marking his first on-screen interaction with estranged wife Akanksha Chamola since she publicly disclosed that the couple is heading for a divorce.

Akanksha revealed on the premiere episode of the show that she and Gaurav have been living separately for the past year and have mutually decided to end their marriage.

Speaking on the show, she said the decision had been under discussion between them for nearly a year and that both had agreed it was the right step for their future.

Despite announcing their separation, Akanksha clarified that there is no animosity between the two. She said they continue to remain on cordial terms but eventually realised they wanted different things in life and were no longer compatible as life partners.

In another personal revelation during the show, Akanksha shared that she identifies as bisexual and disclosed that she had been in relationships with women before her marriage. She explained that while those relationships were not physically intimate, she had dated a few women before marrying Gaurav.

The revelation came after fellow contestant Shreya Kalra mentioned that she had overheard Akanksha discussing the matter backstage and later shared it with contestant Sufi Motiwala.

With Gaurav now entering the show as a special guest, viewers will be watching closely to see whether the meeting offers any insight into the couple's current relationship following their public announcement.

'Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa' is currently streaming on Netflix, with new episodes released from Saturday to Thursday at 8 p.m.
