Mangaluru police offer reward, release photos of 13 absconding suspects in Rs 23-lac gold heist

Mangaluru, Jul 6: In a major development in the recent multimillion-rupee Baikampady highway robbery case, the Panambur police have officially released a look-out notice featuring the details and photographs of the accused individuals who are currently absconding.

The case, registered under Crime No. 84/2026 at the Panambur police station, invokes sections 310(2), 311, 324(2), 137(2), and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with Section 2(b) of the Karnataka Prevention of Destruction and Loss of Property (KPDLP) Act.

According to the police notice, the department has requested the public to share any credible information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the wanted suspects. The absconding accused have been identified as Shijin Gangadharan, son of Gangadharan Kuniyil, resident of Kousthubam, Kuniyil House, Palloor post, Naluthara, Mahe District, Pondicherry; Sreerag Palottukavil, son of Bhargavan, Palottukavil, resident of Ellathvalappil House, Kannapuram, Thavam PO, via Cherukunnu; Ubaid M N alias Ubbi, son of Naseem, resident of Beguru village and post, Ponnampet, Kodagu district; Firoz Moidu Abbas, son of Abbas Moidu, resident of Kaichur, Thombathumane, Hakhathur post, Madikeri Rural, Madikeri; Atul P P, resident of Anjarakandy, Kannur, Kerala; Zameer, son of Sureshan, resident of Vayakkadi House, Beach Road, Ezhakkad, Kannur district, Kerala; Mithun Lal, resident of Anjarakandy, Kannur, Kerala; Ziyad, aged 30, son of Shahazan, resident of Mapilletodu, Begur village, Ponnampet; Ajeer Tharayil, son of Ebrahimkutty, resident of Puthiya Parambath, Tharayilpeedika, Matool South, Pazhayangadi, Matool, Kerala; Alira Abdulla, son of Abdulla, resident of Alira Bethu, Chanivada village, Begur post, Ponnampet, Kodagu district; Vaishak, resident of Anjarakandy, Kannur, Kerala; Asir, resident of Payyannur, Kannur, Kerala state; Pranav, resident of Kerala and Vijil, resident of Kerala.

The police department has announced that a suitable reward will be given to any person who provides credible information leading to the apprehension of the accused. The authorities have assured that the identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
