Udupi, Jul 2: Glowinstar Integrated School celebrated National Doctors' Day with great enthusiasm and gratitude, honouring the invaluable contributions of doctors to society.

The chief guest, Dr Sai Prasad, an experienced Ayurvedic general surgeon with 13 years of clinical experience and associate professor at the Muniyal Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences, Manipal, addressed the students. In his insightful talk, he emphasized the importance of adequate sleep, good mental health, and a balanced, nutritious diet. He encouraged students to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits from an early age, stating that such practices help develop responsible, healthy, and compassionate individuals.

Addressing the gathering, the principal, Dr T J Quadros, highlighted the indispensable role of doctors in safeguarding public health and serving humanity. He motivated students to consider medicine as a noble profession and reminded them that dedicated healthcare professionals are the backbone of a healthy society.

The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome address by the headmistress, Neethew Fernandes. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the beginning of the event, symbolizing knowledge, hope, and selfless service. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, staff, and students for making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
