Mangaluru, Jul 1: The Nursery and Kindergarten sections of Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, CBSE Kotekar, celebrated Green Day on June 30 with great enthusiasm to promote awareness about nature and environmental conservation.

The celebration was graced by the presence of the principal, Sr Pramila AC, administrator, Sr Julie Ann, and KG coordinator, Disha.

The children looked delightful in their green attire, adding colour and vibrancy to the occasion. The LKG and UKG students presented a lively skit highlighting the importance of trees and the need to protect the environment. They confidently expressed a few sentences on caring for nature and demonstrated the correct method of segregating and disposing of waste into the appropriate bins, encouraging responsible environmental practices.

The students also showcased their creativity by bringing beautiful Green Day drawings, which were displayed in their respective classrooms. Class teachers conducted engaging and interactive activities that helped the children understand the significance of trees, cleanliness, and environmental conservation in an enjoyable manner.

The programme concluded with an inspiring message from the principal, who emphasized the importance of protecting trees, maintaining cleanliness, and disposing of waste responsibly to preserve a healthy environment.

The Green Day celebration was a meaningful and enriching experience for the young learners. It inspired them to appreciate nature, adopt eco-friendly habits, and recognize their responsibility in protecting and preserving the environment for a greener and more sustainable future.
