New Delhi/ Tehran, Jun 24: India has revised its travel advisory for Iran, noting an improvement in the overall security situation while continuing to advise its citizens against non-essential travel to the country.
In updated guidance issued on June 24, the Indian Embassy in Tehran said it had been closely monitoring developments in Iran and had reviewed its advisory in light of recent positive changes in the security environment.

Despite the improved conditions, the Embassy urged Indian nationals to refrain from undertaking non-essential travel to Iran until further notice.
Indian citizens currently residing in Iran, as well as those required to travel there for unavoidable reasons, have been advised to exercise a high degree of caution, remain vigilant and maintain constant awareness of their surroundings.
The advisory also urged them to closely follow local developments through reliable sources and strictly adhere to instructions issued by Iranian authorities.
The Embassy further requested all Indian nationals presently in Iran and those arriving in the country to register their details with the mission at the earliest opportunity.
Citizens have also been encouraged to regularly monitor the Embassy's official website and social media platforms for updates and additional advisories.
The revised advisory comes amid signs of easing tensions in the region. According to reports, the first round of discussions between the United States and Iran aimed at reaching a broader agreement to end the conflict concluded with what mediators described as encouraging progress.
Qatar and Pakistan, which are facilitating the dialogue, said in a joint statement that both sides had agreed on a roadmap to work towards a comprehensive agreement within the next 60 days.
The talks follow the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington last week, laying the foundation for negotiations after weeks of conflict and a fragile ceasefire.
While acknowledging the improved situation, India has maintained a cautious approach, advising its citizens to stay alert, follow local regulations and remain connected with official updates from the Embassy.
