Mangaluru, Jun 15: A new wave of excitement is building in Kannada cinema for the upcoming comedy entertainer 'Vadiraja Valaga Mandali', which has successfully completed its shooting schedule and entered post-production. The film is produced under the banner of MNR Production by noted producer Dr M N Rajendra Kumar.

Touted as a refreshing and unique attempt in Sandalwood, the film has already attracted attention for its unusual title, fresh storyline, and distinctive character looks. The makers believe the movie will offer a wholesome entertainment package blending comedy, emotions, and social themes.

The film marks the directorial debut of Shashiraj Kavoor, widely known for the popular song 'Varaha Roopam'. Apart from directing, he has also handled the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The movie was shot in two phases over nearly 50 days. Currently, editing, dubbing, and background score works are in progress.

Speaking about the film, the team expressed confidence that although the movie carries the flavour of coastal Karnataka culture, it will connect with audiences across the state. There are also plans to release the film in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

The film features a talented ensemble cast from the coastal belt. Popular actor Naveen D Padil, known for his impeccable comedy timing, plays a major role. Other key actors include Prakash Thuminad, Mime Ramdas, Deepak Rai Panaje, Pushparaj Bollar, Arjun Vedanth, and Atharva Prakash. Thanni Rao and Venya Rai play the female leads, while veteran actor Lakshman Kumar Mallur and several experienced artistes are also part of the cast.

The technical team adds further strength to the project. The movie was shot using the high-end Arri LF camera, previously used in big-budget films like 'Kantara' and 'Pogaru'. Veteran Tamil cinematographer S Chandrashekharan has handled the visuals, while noted music director Manikanth Kadri has composed the music. Action sequences are choreographed by Tiger Shivu.

The production team includes Jayaprakash Thumbe as co-producer, Santosh Shetty as executive producer, and Rajesh Kudda and Karthik as production managers.

The makers have announced that 'Vadiraja Valaga Mandali' is set for a grand release in August and are hopeful that the film will receive an overwhelming response from audiences across the state.
