Women’s Wing of K'taka Mahamandal–Bhayandar Celebrates ‘World Women’s Day’

Mumbai, Mar 16: The women’s wing of Karnataka Mahamandal –Bhayandar celebrated ‘World Women’s Day’ at Tejo Bhavan hall, B P Road, Bhayandar, recently.

Writer and Yakshagana Bhagavat Dayamani Shetty, south cell women’s unit BJP vice-president Sudha Nair, Rati Shankar B Shetty, Sumati Mahabala Samani, writer Lata Santosh Shetty, as well as play director and writer Devdas Salian were the chief guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Dayamani Shetty said that women are excelling in social, cultural, and employment spheres owing to their keen interest and make use of inherent talents.  “The contributions of women in the social sphere is greater than in others,” she added.

An elocution contest on the topic ‘Can Working Women Be Efficient Home-makers?’ was also held.

Karnataka Mahamandal founder president Chandrashekar V Shetty was present on the dais. 

Sunita Hegde, Hema Hegde, and Vishalakshi Shetty rendered the prayers.  Suprita Shetty compered the programme.

‘Mahasati Anusuya’, a Harikata, was presented by Dhananjay Shanti, titleholder of Haridas, and various entertainment programmes were held on the occasion.
