Udupi: City municipal council bans road digging till Sept end

Udupi, Jun 7: In the wake of the monsoon's onset, the Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) has strictly prohibited all road digging and excavation activities within its jurisdiction until the end of September.

According to a press release issued by the office of the municipal commissioner, no permissions will be granted for road excavation during this period.

 

The release sternly warned that appropriate action, as per the rules, will be initiated against anyone found unnecessarily digging or cutting the roads.

The municipal commissioner has also urged the public to fully cooperate with the local administration regarding this measure.
