Mangaluru, Jun 7: The police have successfully apprehended an absconding accused in connection with the robbery that occurred at the Kotekar Vyavasaya Seva Sahakara Sangha on K C Road in January 2025.
The arrested individual has been identified as Dharmabeer Birendra Singh alias Dharmaveer Singh. He had been evading capture since the crime took place, prompting the police to form a special team dedicated to tracking him down.

Acting on credible tip-offs from informants, the special team intercepted and detained the 34-year-old accused near the Panvel railway station in Mumbai, Maharashtra, on May 11. The accused, originally a resident of Surat, operates under multiple aliases, including Manoj Jeet Lal Verma, Dharm, Master, and Kallu.
He was brought to the Ullal police station on May 12 and subsequently produced before the court. The investigating officials took him into 10-day police custody for detailed interrogation.
Following the completion of his police custody, the accused was presented before the court again on May 22 and has been remanded to judicial custody, stated commissioner Sudhir Kumar Reddy.
