Mangaluru, Jun 6: The department of MBA at Srinivas University successfully organized MEGA INDIA, a unique cultural and educational event on June 3 which aimed at celebrating the diversity, heritage, and unity of India. The programme provided students with an opportunity to explore and showcase the rich cultural, historical, geographical, and socio-economic aspects of different Indian states through informative presentations and traditional representations.
The event commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony. The programme was inaugurated through the traditional lighting of the lamp by Dr Padmanabh, dean, Institute of Education; Dr Trishala, dean, Institute of Physiotherapy; and Dr Venkatesh Amin, dean, IMC and IPSLM. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of understanding India's cultural diversity and encouraged students to appreciate the nation's unity amidst its diversity.

A major highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of students who represented all 28 states of India through well-prepared presentations. Each student group showcased the unique features of their assigned state, covering aspects such as culture, traditions, festivals, tourism, cuisine, economy, language, and historical significance. The presentations reflected extensive research, creativity, and teamwork.
Adding vibrant colour and authenticity to the programme, several students appeared in traditional attire representing their respective states. Their costumes beautifully reflected India's rich cultural heritage and enhanced the visual appeal of the event. The traditional dresses enabled participants and attendees to gain a deeper appreciation of the distinct identities and customs associated with different regions of the country.
The event served as an excellent platform for experiential learning, cultural exchange, and collaborative engagement among students. It fostered national integration, cultural awareness, communication skills, and confidence among participants.
MEGA INDIA concluded on a successful note with active participation from students and faculty members. The programme effectively showcased the spirit of "Unity in Diversity" and reinforced the importance of preserving and celebrating India's rich cultural heritage.
