Bantwal, Jun 5: A man hailing from Bantwal and employed in Kuwait has reportedly died of a heart attack while at work.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Razak Valachil (58), a resident of Talapady in Bantwal taluk.

Originally from Valachil, Abdul Razak had later built a house and settled in Talapady. He had been working for a private company in Farwaniya, Kuwait, for several years.

According to family members, he collapsed while at work on Wednesday. He was being rushed to a hospital when he passed away on the way.

Efforts are underway to bring the mortal remains to his native place. The body is expected to arrive in Bengaluru by flight late on Thursday night and will then be transported by ambulance to Talapady on Friday.

Family members said that the funeral rites will be held following the Janaza prayer at Talapady Badriya Juma Masjid, after which the burial will take place at the Mofat Lal burial ground.

Abdul Razak is survived by his wife, son, daughter and a large number of relatives and friends.

The Talapady Administrative Committee and Al Rahma Foundation have expressed their condolences over his untimely demise.
