Bantwal: Three detained for alleged assault on passenger aboard train

Bantwal, Jun 3: Three persons were detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bantwal railway station on Tuesday morning in connection with an alleged assault on a passenger after creating a disturbance in the last coach of the Mangaluru–Subrahmanya train.

According to reports, a complaint was lodged with railway police stating that three individuals who had boarded the train at Kodimbala railway station were creating a commotion inside the coach.

As soon as the train arrived at Bantwal railway station, Railway Protection Force personnel took the three persons into custody. In view of the incident, the train was halted at Bantwal railway station for a few minutes.
