Speeding car overturns on NH 66 in Udyavar, driver injured

Udupi, Jun 1: A speeding car overturned after hitting a roadside stone and a parked scooter at Forest Gate near Udyavar on National Highway 66 on Monday, June 1 morning.

The Swift car was travelling from Udupi towards Mangaluru. As it approached the Forest Gate area, the driver reportedly lost control of the speeding vehicle, causing it to crash into a stone and an adjacent parked scooter before overturning.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries in the mishap and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police personnel from the Katapady outpost visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and cleared the highway traffic.
